Red Light Camera and Bike/Scooter Safety Public Awareness Campaign

The City of Dallas’s Transportation Department initiated SafeLight, a red-light camera program, to reduce accidents caused by running red lights.

Dickie+Associates partnered with  American Traffic Solutions and The Davis Advocates to provide strategic planning to build public awareness of the benefits of the Red Light camera program. As an extension to the transportation program, we also addressed the importance of bike and scooter safety. The team developed key messages and materials to support the campaign through various mediums, including video and social media, partnered with civic organizations to maximize outreach efforts and utilize opportunities for free or reduced-price advertising, and participated in community meetings and other events to build awareness.
