Nature Centers’ Openings and Marketing
The City of Dallas’s Trinity River Corridor Project includes a partnership with the National Audubon Center and Audubon Texas. The partnerships have resulted in the opening of two Audubon centers in the same county for the first time. This led to the revitalization of land and neighborhoods in South Dallas and Cedar Hill, Texas. The centers are gateways to a hardwood forest, wetlands, and prairie habitats and have progressive STEM educational programs.
Marketing, advertising and public relations campaigns were developed for the openings and promotion of the Trinity River Audubon Center and the Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center with the missions of introducing the outdoor experience and the STEM educational programs.
Key messages and brand identities were developed for each of the Audubon centers:
The openings campaigns resulted in an attendance of over 10,000 participants for the opening of the Trinity River Audubon Center and attracted thousands to the opening of the Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center.
